For Teens and Adults

More About Aquatic Therapy

At Current Practice PT, we offer personalized aquatic physical therapy services for adolescents and adults seeking a gentle, effective, and supportive way to move and heal. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or simply needing a different approach to care, the water may be the perfect place to start.

You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, you just need to be willing to get a bit wet (and we will never ask you to get your face wet if that makes you uncomfortable).

Who is this for?

Our adolescent and adult clients may come to us for support with:

  • Orthopedic rehabilitation (after injury or surgery)

  • Wheelchair users

  • Joint pain, stiffness, or arthritis

  • Neurological conditions (for example: stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, FND)

  • Chronic fatigue, long COVID, or deconditioning

  • Balance concerns or frequent falls

  • Pain/fear with traditional land-based therapy

  • Sensory regulation or anxiety that affects physical movement

We also see teens navigating the shift from pediatric to adult care, and offer a safe, individualized bridge through that transition.

What Makes This Different?

Aquatic PT at Current Practice isn’t a group class or generic water exercise. Each session is:

  • One-on-one with a licensed physical therapist

  • Tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and pace

  • Designed to build physical skills and confidence

You’ll be an active participant in your therapy, with space to ask questions, explore movement, and find joy in what your body can do.

We practice patient-centered care. That means we prioritize consent, choice, and collaboration in every session. We recognize that many people come to physical therapy carrying past experiences of pain, fear, or feeling unheard. You deserve care that is respectful, empowering, and safe. You’re the expert on your body, and we’re here to support your goals in a way that feels safe and affirming.
